Abstract (English):
The complexity of political and foreign economic relations of states has a significant impact on the functioning and strategy of commercial activities of trade enterprises. One of the most rational approaches to business and development for enterprises in the Russian Federation is the development and implementation of import substitution policy. The aim of the study is to develop approaches to the formation of import substitution strategy in the retail trade enterprises on the basis of the synthesis of existing methods and techniques. The article proposes a logical sequence of the formation of import substitution policy in the retail trade enterprise. And also considered the main positive and negative sides of the implementation of import substitution policy, the factors stimulating enterprises to switch to domestic producers and suppliers, the impact of the implementation of import substitution strategy on the business processes of the company. The proposed methodology will expand the tools for the development of strategies and approaches to the policy of import substitution and will allow to make rational management decisions on the optimization and development of trade enterprises in the Russian Federation.
