CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF METHODS OF ASSESSING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF HOTEL ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract (English):
The article presents the results of studying, generalizing and systematizing the works of foreign and domestic economists devoted to the problem of studying the competitiveness of organizations from the standpoint of various scientific and methodological approaches in certain time periods. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of methods for assessing the competitiveness of hotel organizations that have specific features of their functioning in the service market, which necessitates adapting the existing methods and techniques for conducting research to the specific features of the activities of these organizations to ensure a comprehensive, systematic, differentiated approach to conducting research. In the course of the conducted critical analysis of the considered methods and techniques for assessing the competitiveness of organizations, including in the hotel industry, the essence and sequence of the research were determined, the main advantages and disadvantages of the proposed methods were identified and the scope of their application in the practice of organizations was determined. In the final part, based on the results of the study, general conclusions were formulated on the applicability of the considered methods for assessing competitiveness in the analytical activities of hotel organizations and the need to adapt them to modern conditions of the current external and internal environment, trends in the development of the economy and society, industry specifics of the functioning of organizations in the hotel industry.
