ANALYSIS OF THE OFFERING, EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF ESSENTIAL OILS SOLD BY PHARMACY CHAINS

Abstract (English):
The main problem of the essential oil market is adulteration of the product in different ways. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze the offering and evaluate the quality of EO in pharmacy chains of Krasnoyarsk. During this analysis, we specified the offering of the pharmacy-sold EO and analyzed the EO composition according to manufacturers, brands, EO packaging and prices. We evaluated the marking and packaging quality of the samples, specified organoleptic and some physicochemical qualities. In addition, we analyzed documents confirming safety of the EO sold. This article contains the analytical information of the literary sources and the analysis results, which may be useful for the pharmacy chains’ workers to study the problem of offering development and adulteration of EO. The quality evaluation results of EO may be useful for consumers and aromatherapy professionals.
