PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF IDENTIFYING AND COUNTERING THE SPREAD OF COUNTERFEIT PERFUMES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The information base of the research was made up of publications of scientific and periodicals in the field of combating illegal trafficking of counterfeit and falsified products, regulatory and legal documents, as well as statistical reviews of law enforcement and supervisory authorities. Using the example of perfumery products, the objectives and possibilities of introducing mandatory labeling in the national "Honest Sign" system have been studied. To identify the causes of the spread of counterfeit and falsified products, a comparative analysis of labeling, consumer packaging and individual organoleptic indicators of genuine and counterfeit perfumes was carried out. As a result of the experiment, it was shown that when scanning the code on the packaging of a counterfeit product, the Honest Sign application can give out information misleading the consumer. In addition, the experiment found that counterfeit products differ from the original not only by external signs of labeling and packaging, but also by degraded consumer properties, as well as the lack of confirmation of the safety of the goods. Recommendations are formulated on additional informing consumers about mandatory labeling and cases of falsification of goods in order to increase the activity of buyers and increase the effectiveness of the system of countering illegal turnover of products in general.
