TRANSFORMATION OF THE CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP: FROM A SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL PHENOMENON TO TECHNOLOGICAL LEADERSHIP
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
This article examines the evolution of the concept of leadership – from its origins as a socio-psychological phenomenon in small groups to its modern understanding as a strategic tool in the era of digital transformation. The author conducts a systemic analysis of the transformation of views on leadership, examining key stages: from early psychological and managerial interpretations through the development of multidimensional and situational approaches to the formation of specialized paradigms of the 21st century. The paper summarizes numerous definitions and typologies of leadership, highlighting such developmental vectors as the expansion of the research subject, the increasing complexity of the structure of influence, the diversification of leadership types, and a shift in emphasis from management to development. Particular attention is paid to the emergence and substantive content of the concepts of technological and digital leadership, which are viewed as a response to the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Based on the analysis, an integrated definition of technological leadership is proposed as a strategically oriented, multidimensional management process aimed at generating and implementing innovations to fundamentally transform business models and achieve sustainable competitive advantages. This article presents a comprehensive theoretical review relevant to researchers and practitioners in the fields of management, digitalization, and organizational development.
