2. Design of the text of the article
2.1. General requirements. The volume of the article should be 20,000-40,000 characters (tracked by the editors upon admission). It is advisable to take one of the articles of the latest issue of the magazine as a design sample. Before sending, you need to check the spelling of the text (in Word).
Page parameters: margins 2.5 cm on all sides, interval one and a half, tab positions are standard (1.25 cm). Both in the text and in all objects embedded in the file, it is necessary to use the font Times New Roman, 12 pt.
The names of foreign authors mentioned in the text should be transliterated into Russian.

2.2. Abstract. The volume of the abstract to the article should be 200-250 words. The abstract shows the distinctive features and advantages of the study in order to interest the reader and encourage him/her to read the article in full. This is an independent text describing the main results of the study without referring to the article itself, so it is necessary to avoid references and abbreviations. The text of the abstract should be clear and concise, free from secondary information, and differ in the persuasiveness of the wording. The use of abbreviations in the annotation is undesirable, but if they are still used, their decoding is mandatory. The text of the annotation should not contain numbers, tables, figures, subheadings, and lists with numbering. The abstract outlines the essential facts of the paper; it should not contain material that is missing from the article itself. One should use syntactic constructions peculiar to the language of scientific and technical documents, avoid complex grammatical constructions in the text of the abstract.

2.3. Keywords. The maximum number of keywords is 10. Commas should separate words or phrases consisting of 2-3 words. Keywords help search engines to determine the topic, and the reader to find an article on the Internet. When forming keywords, words with abstract meanings or terms that can be used in other scientific disciplines should be avoided. Enumeration within a single keyword is not allowed. Keywords should be as specific as possible and reflect the specifics of the article.

2.4. Structure of the article. The article should be structured in the format IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion):
Introduction: determines the nature and extent of the problems, the research associated with the previous work (usually by a brief review of literature related to the problem), explains the purpose of the study and defines any specialized terms or abbreviations that will be used later in the text;
Materials and Methods: what was done, how, when, and also how the data was analyzed and presented. Standard methods are mentioned or can be described only with reference to a literary source, if it is available. Modifications of standard methods should be described. If the method is new, you should give a detailed description of it. The description of the general procedures is unnecessary;
Results: the part in which the author talks about what he/she managed to achieve during the research; if necessary, the data is laid out in tables, graphs, illustrations;
Discussion: the author presents his interpretation of the data obtained as a result of the study, explains the meaning and consequences of the results; this element allows you to emphasize the value and novelty of the data;
Conclusions: it is advisable to focus on the identified trends, accurate results and prospects.

3. Drawings. In addition to the file with the text of the article, all drawings in the original format (*jpeg, *jpg, *png) must be transmitted in separate files, except for drawings made in the Microsoft Word text editor. Illustrations should be visual enough, graphically expressive, clear. The lines should be clear, without shadows, the text in the drawings should be readable. Numbering is mandatory for all drawings; the names of the drawings are placed under the drawing (in the center). Drawings should be provided in a format that allows editing and configuration changes without additional reference to the authors. The figures are always placed in the text after the reference to them. Captions should be duplicated in English (in Russian).
Objects in drawings created using MS Word or Visio should be grouped.
Objects created by means of other than the MS Word text editor must have the extension either *jpeg (or *jpg) or * png, with a resolution of at least 72 dpi (screen resolution) and a size of at least 1500×1500 (dots per inch), or a size of 164 mm in width and a resolution of 300 dpi. The author is responsible for the correctness of the use of symbols, formulas and drawings.

4. Tables. The number and title of the table are placed in the center. All tables should be numbered. The numbering of the tables is continuous. The title should be duplicated in English.
The table is constructed when there is a need to visually compare the essential (important for the presentation of the idea) data. For a visual comparison of data, the following principle should be observed: vertically (title above the column), data related to the entire column is grouped, horizontally (line in sidebar) - to the entire row. A table with more rows than columns is easier to read. The union of subheadings in a graph should be justified: for example, by the presence of a hierarchy within the column. Both in the graphs and in the sidebar with the headings of several steps, the logic of subordination of the lowest step to its subordinate heading should be traced. The data in the table changes according to a certain algorithm (known to the author), they are interconnected, this connection should be obvious both in the text (introducing the table into the narrative) and in the table itself. Avoid using a large number of words in tables, as well as highlighting cells or text with color. It is necessary to specify the data sources given in the tables.

5. Requirements for materials in English. The translation of materials provided in English should be performed or edited by a professional translator or a native English speaker. Machine translation is not allowed! In English-language articles, the rules of punctuation, word usage and syntax should be observed. In cases where the text of an article in English requires a large amount of editing, it can be returned to the author for revision or rejected from publication.

6. References.
References are given at the end of the article and should contain at least 25 sources. Self-citation – no more than 15%. Design of intra-text links and references:

  • the numbering of entries in the list is continuous (regardless of the source language);
  • sources are numbered according to the order of their mention in the text. The number of the source used in the article list is located in square brackets. If there are several link objects, then they are combined into one complex link, in which case the link objects are listed separated by commas. For example: [15]; [1, 15, 34]; [1, 8-22].

For all book publications, you must specify the total number of pages, for articles – the page numbers on which they are located. Unpublished sources are not included in the list of references. For all publications of the list of sources that have a DOI (digital object identifier), it is necessary to cite it at the end of the bibliographic record.
Links to Internet sites, Internet sources (does not apply to author's articles, monographs, etc., posted on the Internet), regulatory and legal documentation (laws, resolutions, acts, etc.), statistical collections, newspaper publications are located in the text in footnotes and are not indicated in the list of sources. For all Internet sources, including footnotes, it is necessary to indicate the date of the request.

REVIEW PROCESS

All scientific articles submitted to the editorial board of the journal Trade, Service, Food Industry are subject to mandatory double-blind peer review (the reviewer does not know the authors of the manuscript, the authors of the manuscript do not know the reviewers).

1. Publisher reviews all materials submitted to the editorial office that correspond to its subject matter, with the aim of their expert evaluation. Members of and the editorial board, as well as invited reviewers-leading experts in the relevant field in Russia and other countries carry out review of articles. All reviewers are recognized experts on the subject of the reviewed materials and have published on the subject of the reviewed article within the last 3 years. The chief editor makes the decision on the choice of a reviewer for the examination of the article. The review period is 2-4 weeks, but it can be extended at the request of the reviewer.

2. Each reviewer has the right to refuse a review in the event of an obvious conflict of interest that affects the perception and interpretation of the materials of the manuscript. Based on the results of the review of the manuscript, the reviewer makes recommendations about the future of the article (each decision of the reviewer is justified):

  • the article is recommended for publication in this form;
  • the article is recommended for publication after correcting the shortcomings noted by the reviewer;
  • the article needs additional review by another specialist;
  • the article cannot be published in the journal.

3. If the review contains recommendations for correction and revision of the article, the editorial board sends the author the text of the review with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them (partially or completely). The revision of the article should not take more than 2 months from the date of sending an electronic message to the authors about the need for changes. The article modified by the author is re-sent for review.

4. If the authors refuse to finalize the materials, they must notify the editorial board in writing or orally of their refusal to publish the article. If the authors do not return the revised version after 3 months from the date of sending the review, even if there is no information from the authors with a refusal to finalize the article, the editorial board removes it from the register. In such situations, the authors are notified of the withdrawal of the manuscript from registration due to the expiration of the deadline for revision.

5. If the author and reviewers have unsolvable contradictions regarding the manuscript, the editorial board has the right to send the manuscript for additional review. In conflict situations, the editor-in-chief at a meeting of the editorial board makes the decision.

6. The editorial board of the publication sends the authors of the submitted materials copies of the reviews or a reasoned refusal, and also undertakes to send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation when the corresponding request is received by the editorial board of the publication. The decision to refuse to publish the manuscript is made at a meeting of the editorial board in accordance with the recommendations of the reviewers. An article that is not recommended for publication by the decision of the editorial board is not accepted for re-consideration. A message about the refusal to publish is sent to the author by e-mail.

7. After the editorial board of the journal makes a decision on the admission of the article to publication, the editorial board informs the author about it and specifies the publication date.

8. The presence of a positive review is not a sufficient reason for the publication of the article. The editorial board makes the final decision on the publication. In conflict situations, the editor-in-chief makes the decision.

9. The original reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for 5 years.

4.2. Having made a decision to withdraw the article, the editorial board indicates in the minutes of the meeting the reason for the retraction (in case of plagiarism - indicating the sources of borrowing), as well as the date of the retraction. The article and the description of the article remain on the journal's website as part of the corresponding issue of the journal, but the electronic version of the text is marked WITHDRAWN / RETRACTED and the date of retraction, the same mark is placed in the article in the table of contents of the issue.

4.3. The editorial board does not mechanically delete articles from the electronic version of the journal and from the archive on the journ website, in order to maintain correctness.

4.4. The Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (for entering information into a single database of retracted articles) is provided with a protocol, which indicates the date of the meeting, the composition of the meeting, the results of the examination, the reasoned decision and the completed form:

  • full name of the author and title of the article;
  • the name of the publication from which the text is withdrawn;
  • initiator of the article review;
  • the basis for the review of the article and the date of the decision;
  • link to the page on the publication's website that contains information about the retraction;
  • output of the article and DOI (if available);
  • topics (social sciences, agriculture, etc.).

4.5. Information about the revoked texts is transmitted to the databases of scientific information – National Electronic Library, CyberLeninka. Upon receipt of the request for retraction, the information about the article and the full text remain on the eLibrary.ru and in CyberLeninka, but supplemented with information about retraction. Withdrawn articles and references from them are excluded from the RSCI and do not participate in the calculation of indicators.

4.6. In case of serious moral damage to the parties to the conflict of interests, information about the fact of violation of scientific ethics may be transmitted to the place of work of the author.

4.7. The editorial board reserves the right to make its own decision regarding further cooperation with the authors of the retracted articles (complete refusal of cooperation, refusal of cooperation for a certain time, appointment of additional examination of articles in case of repeated cooperation).

Abstract of the article (in Russian)
Keywords (in Russian)
Gratitude, grant (optional, in Russian)

The text of the article (in Russian or English)

Bibliographic list (in Russian)
References (bibliographic list in English)

Introduction: determines the nature and extent of the problems, the research associated with the previous work (usually by a brief review of literature related to the problem), explains the purpose of the study and defines any specialized terms or abbreviations that will be used later in the text;
Materials and Methods: what was done, how, when, and also how the data was analyzed and presented. Standard methods are mentioned or can be described only with reference to a literary source, if it is available. Modifications of standard methods should be described. If the method is new, you should give a detailed description of it. The description of the general procedures is unnecessary;
Results: the part in which the author talks about what he/she managed to achieve during the research; if necessary, the data is laid out in tables, graphs, illustrations;
Discussion: the author presents his interpretation of the data obtained as a result of the study, explains the meaning and consequences of the results; this element allows you to emphasize the value and novelty of the data;

  • the numbering of entries in the list is continuous (regardless of the source language);

2. Each reviewer has the right to refuse a review in the event of an obvious conflict of interest that affects the perception and interpretation of the materials of the manuscript.   • the article is recommended for publication in this form;
  • the article is recommended for publication after correcting the shortcomings noted by the reviewer;
  • the article needs additional review by another specialist;
  • the article cannot be published in the journal.

6. The editorial board of the publication sends the authors of the submitted materials copies of the reviews or a reasoned refusal, and also undertakes to send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation when the corresponding request is received by the editorial board of the publication.
